Chloe Maxmin, running to be the FIRST Democrat elected in Maine’s House District 88

THIS is why we endorsed her – what a great candidate.

Hello Everyone! My name is Chloe Maxmin. I am 26 years old and running for the Maine House of Representatives in rural District 88 (Chelsea, Whitefield, Jefferson, and part of Nobleboro) as a Democrat and Clean Elections candidate.

On June 12th, we made history. We won our Democratic Primary with 80% of the vote. More people voted for our movement alone than had voted in any previous Democratic Primary. The turnout exceeded previous records by 40%. We’ve been endorsed by Maine AFL-CIO, Maine Education Association, Maine State Employees Association–SEIU Local 1989, Run for Something, MoveOn.org, EqualityMaine, People for the American Way, and more. We’ve had over 50 Letters to the Editor in local papers for our campaign (and counting). Continue reading “Hello from Chloe Maxmin”

Calling all Indivisibles: Jobs large and small

Nigel sticking out tongue
Nigel wants YOU to help stamp out Trumpism

In keeping with our theme of “doing what we can with what we have”:

LCI has a lot of fun and important work to do beyond the usual phone calls and letters to the editor (though we need those, too; please keep them coming). There’s more work than the Steering Committee can handle alone, and some good things are not getting done. Please look over this list and consider taking on one or two of these projects. You don’t have to work alone; we’re looking for leaders to take ownership. Your country will thank you.
